If you post a link to a news story, photo gallery etc., please send us an email as well. Since we will not always be monitoring the BBS, we do not want content to get lost that can be shared on the main page. Content belongs there, discussion belongs on the BBS.
Please be sure to post a new topic in the appropriate forum. Right now we have three forums: "Stryker Brigade"; "General Discussion; and, "Communication From the Front". For example, if you want to find other people interested in a particular unit, that belongs in the Stryker Brigade forum. If you have a question about care packages or mail, that probably fits better in the Communication forum.
G-rated usernames only! We reserve the right to delete, w/o prior notice, any usernames that we find offensive. You'll have to register all over again, so keep it clean the first time.

Dead wood will be pruned. If you post a discussion topic and no one responds to it, it will likely be removed after a week or so.
No politics please! The bulletin board is a resource to bring people together to support the troops. Politics tend to divide, not unite.
Special Features
Private Email - Once you register, you can send an email to another user w/o revealing either email address.
Private Messaging - Send a message to another user, which they can pick up next time they visit the BBS.
Instructions
Visit the site and register. In an effort to keep the BBS as private as possible, we will be requiring all users to register - even to read the messages. The registration icon is in the upper-right hand corner of the log-in page.
We've run into problems with the confirmation email that is sent after you register. Many email programs (especially AOL) will filter the confirmation into your trash or junk mail folders. You need this email to activate your account. Check your trash, or change your settings, before you send us an email asking why your account isn't active.
