I am truly sorry for you loss.

He is a hero.

Heath. There is a void in my heart and here at home that is simply numbing. You know how proud of you we are, you should also know that I really can't even describe the words to say how moved and honored we feel. You are a wonderful man, son, father, brother, friend and soldier. Sara is so fortunate to have captured your heart and Ethan looks just like you. We saw you accomplish so many things in such a short time. Thank you, Heath for your inspiration to all of those who know and love you. You make us want to be better people and better Americans. Thank you for serving Our Beloved Country, you have taught many the TRUE sacrifice of Our Freedom. The Strykers are truly blessed to have Heath for their comrade, I know he made a difference in their lives as well. I will never forget the last time I saw you after you joined. You came to the house and you were standing tall and looking good! You were so excited, you showed me your tatoos, Defend and Courage, one on each peck. You even wanted to show me your ACU's! I had never seen you so confident and so proud of yourself, you had found your mission. I know you are with Our Beloved Saviour now and that gives comfort that only He can provide. You know we will look after Chance.

Praying for your precious family that you so adored,

Mrs. Stovall (that's what you ALWAYS called me)

I am the Mother of Heath's good friend from Texas. Heath spent many hours at my house. He will be missed. I know that he loved his wife Sara and his son Ethan and he was a great friend to my son Bryan. I am very proud to say he was a part of our lives. Heath was proud to protect our country and has all of my respect and love.

God Bless and keep safe all of our soldiers!

My prayers go out to Spc. Pickards family and friends! My husband is serving in the same brigade in Iraq, and I wish with all my heart no soldiers had to be there! Wishing wont get us anywhere, but praying will! I will be at Heath's memorial and I will pray for his family, friends, and the safe return of all the soldiers! I am so proud of all our soldiers and Heath for the sacrifice they are all making for our beautiful country and their families! God, be with his family and help them to cope wih the pain of loosing such a loving and respected soldier! Be with them and lift up their voices to you where Heath stands waiting for Sara to join him one day!!

I truly feel for Heath Pickards family. It's hard to lose someone so close to you and that you know. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family and he is someone we can all be proud of. I pray for the other soldiers who were next to him on that day. One of them is a good friends of mine. I pray that they have the strength to go on and come home safe to us.
