The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Spc. Joshua A. Molina, 20, of Houston, Texas, died Mar. 27 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.

We offer our condolences to his family, friends, and fellow soldiers.

I am so sorry for the loss of this fine young man and your HERO Spc Joshua A Molina . I lost my son in Iraq on May 6/2007, so I can well understand your pain of losing a loved one so dear.

I am very sorry to hear that he has passed away. I met him when I moved to Germany with my husband in 2006. My husband and he were good friends and I am so sorry to his family for their loss. He was a great guy and he will be missed.

I'm trying get information pertaining to the March 27, 2008 death of Spc. Joshua A. Molina of Houston Texas who was supporting the Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.

The information that will help us most is if a CAO has been assigned what is their contact information, possible dates of bringing him to the United States, plus any other information that would help.

It will be an honor of the Patriot Guard Riders to Stand Tall and Silent for this Hero and his Family.

Joshua and Family,

I heard his name on the news last week and hoped that it wasn't him. I don't have the words to express how sorry I am for Josh and you guys. I love you all and I will be there next week at the funeral to support him and be there for all of you. Again, I can't fathom what you guys are going through right now. I a so sorry for your loss.

I just wanted to send my deepest regards to the family and friends and also fellow soldiers of Josh. My husband was 15 feet from the IED that took the life of this young man. I feel so much pain and sorry for you.m Please remember that Josh is a hero in the hearts of all Americans and he will be remembered forever.

As a former trooper in the 2nd Cavalry, I solemnly salute SPC Molina's sacrifice for his country and his brothers in arms. Any assistance the his family needs can be requested from the EE Mixon 2nd Dragon Foundation (2nddragoon.org), which is dedicated to helping the families of troopers.
