The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Gregory B. Rundell, 21, of Ramsey, Minn., died March 26 in Taji Iraq, of wounds suffered from small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the loved ones he leaves behind.
Our sincere condolences to the family,friends and fellow brothers in arms. May God give you peace in this difficult day. Thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country and the people of Iraq. Rest in peace "hero".

SPC Gregory Rundell is not alone. He has joined the ranks of too many of his fellow soldiers. They now patrol the streets of Heaven and watch over the soldiers that they left behind. We pray that God's Army will keep a careful watch during this most difficult time. To the family, friends and fellow soldiers of SPC Rundell, please find comfort in your soldier's peace.
