We are so incredibly sorry to hear your news. My son David and his wife were very close to Jonathan and talked about him frequently. They did everything together including getting pinned. There is a wonderful picture of him on my sons myspace, and when it is not quite so painful, you might like to see him getting pinned. If there is anything we can do, please let us know.

My heart goes out to Doziers family and his beautiful little girl. Dozier was our roommate in Lakewood, and was at our apartment all the time in Germany. He was an amazing man and my husbands bestfriend. Germany will not be the same without him. Know that you should be so proud of the man you raised, God bless.

To the family and loved ones of SSG Jonathan K. Dozier, I am writing six letters of condolence today and I'm crying my eyes out over every single one. I lost my son in September of last year. His name was SGT Robert T. Ayres III. He was also with the 3/2 from Vilseck. Robert had been transferred from "A" Co to "G" Co. He had been best friends with SGT Chris Sanders.
My heart goes out to SSG Doziers' little girl. My youngest daughter had been her big brothers little princess. The sadness in her heart is unique, very painful and never ending. There is an empty space no one will ever be able to fill. Her comfort is in her pride for her brothers' sacrifice.
God Bless you. Please don't hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do for you

Our deepest sympathy are extended to your family on the loss of your son,SSG Jonathan K. Dozier. We share in your grief as we lost our beloved son, SGT Christopher Sanders, also. May we eventually find peace and comfort in knowing our children sacrificed for us all. Our heart will be empty for a long time. We were recently told, by a soldier present at the explosion that he had never worked with more professional soldiers. Kelly and Marie Sanders

To the family, friends , and fellow soldiers of
SSG Jonathan K. Dozier, we send our heartfelt condolences. Our nephew, SFC Matthew Pionk, was also killed in the explosion. Matt served with courageous and truly heroic men. "They were the best of the best" is what we keep hearing from fellow soldiers.....true American heroes. The families of all of these soldiers are also heroes as they have to learn to live without their son, brother, or father. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was in the ROTC program with Dozier at MTSU during me Junior Year. He, another guy, and myself were alway running together. We tried to make the best out of a crummy time. I always could look to him and Alfored to get a good laugh over others stupidity. I just found out he passed after I got home from a 13 month deployment. I am very sorry to all his family and friends that he interacted with. He will be deeply missed, and forever remembered.
