My condolences to the family and friends of Meza. My son said he was a close friend of his and misses him very much. You are in our prayers and will never be forgotten.

My heart and prayers go out to the family of this young man, who sacrificed his life for our freedom. I have two sons over there one in 3/2 and I just hate the pain that you as a family have to endure. But we are proud and love your son for what he was to us. TJM

We mourn with you, and will always regard your soldier as a HERO. He gave all that he had for the freedom of others. CPL Meza, take rest in the Hands of God. We pray that your loved ones will find comfort in the knowledge that your Stryker Family shares their grief. We pray that your fellow soldiers and your loved ones are granted courage and strength to travel this most trying path. Watch over your fellow soldiers and give them guidance from above.

My son AJ served alongside Meza in 3/2 SCR. AJ was in 4th platoon and was killed in action Sept, 18, 2007. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family and friends and in this most difficult time encourage you to find strength for each day in the loving arms of Jesus. He has sustained us and he will do the same for you. For the families that face such a seemingly insurrmountable loss, our lives will never be normal again. But with God's help we can re-define normal. Treasure your memories, find ways to release your grief, whether through tears, conversations, photo albums, etc, and honor his sacrifice. I am so thankful for Meza's unselfish service to our country. This is the true sign of a hero. I look forward to thanking him myself when I see him in heaven! May the peace of God surround you.
