"I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours, to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of Freedom"......Abraham Lincoln. Our family offers our most sincere condolences on the loss of your Hero in the service of our country and the defense of his brothers. Sgt.Olguin will never be forgotten, but will be remembered for his courageous and selfless service to free the world from terror and tyranny. God Bless your family.3/2SCR Dad
My heartfelt sympathy to the family of Sgt Olguin and his fellow Soldiers. He made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us, and we will not forget his bravery and courage as he fought for our Freedom. God Speed to all of you, and may God heal your broken hearts.
Proud Granny of a Stryker Soldier
Randy, thank you for your sacrifice. I still cannot believe what happened. My heartfelt sympathy to your amazing wife and your family. May God help them through this time. I promise that I will always be there for your wife. I will never forget you. Rest in peace.
I am so sorry for your loss. Randell was my son's team leader. The whole team looked up and admired Sergeant Olguin as a brave and smart non-commissioned officer. They were happy and proud to be in his team and they are feeling lost without his leadership and his strength and even his friendship. Luckily for them, he did a good job of teaching them to be soldiers before he left.
My prayers and the prayers of my family are with you now. Randall is flying free and I know that he will continue to watch over the young men in his team, young men like my son, in a team that will always be remembered as Olguin's team.

My heart grieves with you in your loss. Randell was a fellow team leader with my son. Brothers in Arms in this tour and last. Now they continue on in honor of Randy.
Randy, I know your brothers will do you proud, rest now in the arms of God.
Lord, I humbly ask that you give peace and comfort to Randy's wife and family. In God's name I pray, Amen.

Stand down soldier, your work is done!
Our hearts are capable of so much more pain then we ever realized. Yet again, we have surrendered one more young soldier into the Hands of God. SGT Olguin, we have no doubt that you have attained the peace in Heaven that was not available here on earth. Rest in that peace, for you earned it with your life. We will remember you as one of our HEROS. We beg the Angels to wrap your family, friends and fellow soldiers in comfort and courage as they bid you farewell. WE share the pain that they suffer, and pray that our numbers will give them strength. Go with God, soldier. Your mission is finished.
SGT Randell - Go to God with our prayers. You are a true hero. Your sacrifice and that of your loved ones is awestriking. Rest in Peace, SGT. My son returned to the USA yesterday. I know that at any time during his deployment this could have been his fate. I only pray that I could be as strong as your loved ones in support of your mission. RIP Hero.
To the family, friends and fellow soldiers working along side SGT Randal Olguin, may God give you the strength you need to go forward (as Randal would want)every day without him...until you meet again. SGT Olguin, I thank you from the depth of my soul, for your sacrifice;you volunteered to keep complete strangers safe. You are a Hero and we will always remember you.
Rest in Peace young soldier!
Sincerely,

To the family of SGT Randy Olguin. I had the distinct pleasure of being your sons Platoon Sergeant during OIF III-IV. Then, SPC OLguin, was a stellar Soldier. He served as my Stryker Driver and then, because of his leadership potential, I moved him to one of the line squads where he could learn and enhance his leadership abilities. Your son was the epitamy of what a Soldier is. He was and still is a HERO and will not be forgotten. It was my honor to have led your son during war and can only hope that this will help ease your pain. Just know that your son did not die in vain and the world has taken a great loss and will never truly know the Randy Olguin that I knew. God Bless you and know that I suffer with you during these trying times. SFC Curtis Jackson; then PSG for Cco. 1/5 IN BN (Bobcats)
I am deeply saddened for the loss of your brave, young Hero. I as many other's who have posted have a son who is in Sgt. Olguin's unit.
My son is SPC Ian Fischer, who is in the 1st. Squadron, 2nd calvary Regiment and is in Iraq as I write this. I know this has deeply affected the soldiers. They have lost a "Brother in Arms" and will forever remeber and be changed.
I know you understand that our sons and daughters, husbands and wives are brave, couragous individuals. They have chosen to fight for our country and that is the most heroic feit one person can take.
You are living my worst nightmare and I can not even begin to understand your pain, I can only imagine. I wish so terribly that you as a family did not have to feel such overwhelming, intense pain.
I can only offer to you that your son, husband and brother was a great American, a Hero, a couragous and brave young man. A Sargeant once told me - Our children are a reflection of who we are as parents.
You have raised a son unlike most and you, will forever be proud.
From a Mother of one of your Sons soldiers - I am deeply saddened and so very deeply sorry for your family's loss.

Randy, Through tough times and back during deployment, you were a source of strength for me always. And you and your family will be in my prayers. And to SFC Jackson above, you said it best and not much more to add to that. To have went through the same experiences as them I know the feelings he has. I miss you as well Curtis and hope you and the family are doing well. To the family of SGT Randy Olguin, Stay strong and know that your son was a truly incredible soldier and I feel the pain as well seeing my brothers giving the ultimate sacrifice as see what goes on overseas. Much love.
Paul St. Germain, 1/5 IN (Bobcats) forever.
Randy, words can never express the loss we all felt the day we found out our friend and classmate was gone. There were so many memories that I can recollect now, looking back we had fun. And I will always keep those memories in my heart forever. Thankyou for serving our country and for fighting for what you believed in. I promise you that I will still visit your parents as much as I can. You are the reason that our families have become even closer. You will never be forgotten, you are in my heart forever. We love you and thankyou. With love,
Maggie & Jose.
