My son, SFC Don Oakes, served with these men. He loved them. There are no words to express my sorrow and grief. Families: please know you are on the prayer chain at my church and our hearts are with you. How long oh Lord, how long?

God must have a tremendous mission planned for He has called even more of our young soldiers to march with HIM in Heaven. We pray that the Guidance of this HERO patrol will guide and protect their fellow soldiers on earth. To the family, friends and fellow soldiers of SPC Landry, please know that the sacrifice that SPC Landry has made will remain in our hearts for a lifetime. Joe was a friend of mine in high school. He was dedicated and loving. He is a ture hero. His sacrifice is burning in my heart. Thank You JOE!
