To Michelle, the sons and family of SFC Cooper,
There are no words that can come close to expressing how sorry I am for your loss of this great man and American hero. I only know that I admire him for standing up for his country and making it possible for my family to live in freedom.
May God be with you all in the hard days ahead. My prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. And so close to when they were going to be home, i know that even makes it harder, because my son is due back, and I know exactly what it would do to me. Again, saying we are sorry is all we can do, and i know its not enough. I can say a prayer for you, and shed tears for you, all of which i will do. But i cant take the pain away, i cant make it better, but i can encourage you to make sure his loss is not in vain, do something good in his name, most soldiers are so afraid they will just be forgotten, make sure that does not happen, then he will be proud! If there is anything i could do to take the pain away, i would. But we all know thats not possible. Remember him for the beautiful person he was, and everything he wanted to do in life, should be a goal you have now to see it gets done for him. At least the ones you can.

To the family, friends and fellow soldiers working along side SFC Cooper, I pray the Good Lord gives you strength to live each day to its fullest as David would want you to do.
SFC Cooper, you will not be forgotten! Thank you for volunteering to keep us safe from an enemy that has sworn to destroy our freedoms. Rest in peace soldier, until you meet your loved ones again.
