I have asked our Lord to prepare a special room in His mansion for our beloved soldiers. My son knew your soldier very well, and is grieving for you. May you find peace in the knowledge that Shawn was a courageous soldier, doing his job to the utmost. Please, Lord Jesus, wrap Shawn's loved ones in your loving arms, comfort and give his loved ones strength until the day they are reunited with our hero, Shawn.

All Americans should remember that the freedoms that they have are NOT free.
It is never more evident than when we lose a brave young American hero like Shawn.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in this great time of loss. May the Lord be with you always.

PFC Shawn Hensel has paid the Ultimate Price for our Freedom. We will never forget his sacrifice, or the sacrifice of all who loved him. Our hearts are so battered from the loss of so many of our young HEROS. PFC Hensel has joined God's Brigade, and we are all safer under their watch. The entire Stryker Family shares your pain, and we pray that all who loved this HERO will find comfort and strength in the knowledge that he is at home with God, and waits until the day that you will be together again. God bless and keep you until that time.

To all friends and family of PFC Shawn Hensel: My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I cannot express how sorry I am for your loss, and I will forever keep your family friends, and Shawn in my prayers as I will forever be grateful for his service, dedication, sacrifice and selflessness in fighting for our country. I came across this prayer awhile back, and really took it to heart as I have friends serving right now in Iraq.
A PRAYER FOR OUR SOLDIERS
Gracious God, I pray for our soldiers. Let your grace be a protective shield, guarding them from harm and keeping them close to your love and compassion. May I always remember that they are the ones who face the horrors and dangers of war first-hand. Help us honor them for their courage and care for them when there is damage to their bodies or spirit. When they are lonely and afraid, and long to be with those whom they love, fill their hearts with the sure knowledge of your presence at all times, in war and peace. Let them feel, O God, deep in their hearts, that your love is always there boundlessly, unconditionally, and eternally. Amen
May God keep you in the palm of His hand through this difficult time.
