To the family, friends and brothers in arms serving with SGT Nicholas Gummersall, may the Good Lord give you strength for each day without your loved one, until you meet again. SGT Gummersall, words can not express the respect I have for your brave service, for keeping strangers safe, for your selfless acts. You will always be a Hero. Rest in peace until you meet your loved ones again, in a much better place.

"Freedom is not Free."
The family of the 3/2 Stryker family has once again lost a brave young man. Our prayers go out to the family of Sgt. Gummersall.
Nick is a true American hero who was also my son's friend. Although I never got to meet Nick, he will always be a part of my family because he and my son were friends serving in Iraq.
May the Lord be with you in this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you always.
