My deepest sympathy for you all. Your loss has touched so many of use that had the wonderful pleasure of being aquainted with SPC Eric Salinas. For me, it was a year. Eric served with my nephew, SPC Colby Helton. It was last October that Eric shared his faith with me. In a letter, he wrote that he was a Christian - that he had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. I pray that God will bring your hearts comfort and peace. And know that if you have accepted Jesus Christ into your hearts as your Savior that you will be reunited with Eric one day. I truly look forward to that day. He was a wonderful man. Such a caring man. I am so thankful to have been aquainted with him. I truly loved SPC Salinas. I called him my "adopted soldier-son". A piece of my heart died along with him. Praise God Heaven is now a little sweeter.
All my love and prayers,
Suzette Barton

Amigo, its been a year already and its hard to believe that you are gone. I remember our talks while on mission of the things we were going to do "when we got back". You are never forgotten...forever in my heart.
