The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Spc. Victor A. Garcia, 22, of Rialto, Calif., died July 1 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered from enemy small arms fire.He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Wash.

I am so sorry for your loss. Words cannot express how I feel. I lost my brother-in-law Andrew on 6-5 and I can only imagine what you must be feeling too. My prayers go out to the family of SPC Garcia. He is a Hero and forever will be remembered.
