The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Cory M. Endlich, 23, of Massillon, Ohio, died June 9 in Taji, Iraq, of wounds suffered from enemy small arms fire.He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Wash.
We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the loved ones he leaves behind.

To the family friends and fellow soldiers working along side SGT Cory Endlich, I pray God gives you the necessary strength to get thru the difficult days without Young Cory. SGT Endlich will always be remembered for his selfless acts, willingly protecting our values and protecting my family and me. Cory is now running cross country in Heaven with the many Heros that went before him. God speed to you Cory. Until you meet again with your loved one please know that we are a grateful nation.

I am so sorry for your loss. My son left Ft. Lewis at the same time as Cory. Our sons efforts are not in vain. Their willingness to serve our country, answer the call no matter how difficult it is,is to be commended by everone in the US. I cannot even guess the depth of your grieving. My friend, was a good man,with a dip, and a smile, he would dig to the very core of his being, if someone was in need. a couple of you troops knew him. To me he was my son, when my son was in basics. had to keep an eye out for the old man. To the entire troop, Keep the faith, you will see him again,,, someday long from now... to me he will allways be alive in christ and someday he'll raz the old man again..God and Country OOOOOOOHHHHRRRRAAAAHHHHHHH
