The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
CPL Wade J. Oglesby, 27, of Grand Junction, Colo., died Apr. 18 in Taji, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat operations. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Wash.
