May God be with you at your time of need. Know that as a parent of a soldier in the 3/2 Stryker Brigade, every brave soldier lost leaves a hole in my heart. Although I did know Jesse, from what I read he was a true and brave hero.
God Bless You,

I cannot begin to express my sadness at the loss of one of our own. My son is also with the 3/2 Stryker Brigade and was very upset for their loss as well as for Staff Sgt Williams family. Our hearts go out to them all. God Bless all of our soldiers and their families. May we all find the strength we need to get through-especially now that we know of their definite extension.

I want to send my personal condolances and heartfelt prayers to Jesse's family, immediate and otherwise. I feel as though I have lost a brother. Jesse was a good friend to me and a pleasure to work around. I regret not being there that fateful day when he was lost, as I PCS'd from B co 5-20 to Italy shortly before they deployed. God bless and God speed to all of the Battle Company troops. I'll see you on the other side Jesse! RIP

I cannot begin to put into words how very sorry I am for Sonya, Amaya, and the rest of Jesse's family and friends! The time that I knew them was short but great! They were the kind of neighbors you pray for when you move to a new post! Jesse will always be remembered as a great husband, an amazing father, and a wonderful friend to have; he will be greatly missed. I pray that God gives his family the strength they need to get through this sad time and all the times to come! I am very sorry....God Bless you all today and always, and Rest in Peace Jesse! You will be remembered always!!!

I came home from school one day in 2001 and I told Jesse I was joining the Army. He laughed and then went quiet with thought. We joined the Army a couple weeks later. (He would take all the credit though) Time went on and we eventually parted ways. We kept in touch while at Ft. Lewis and wished the best for eachother. The only thing that mattered to Jesse was making his father proud, loving his wife, and being the best father in the world. Knowing Jesse, he is extremely proud of the life he led and what he died for. I know we are all proud of him. My heart goes out to his family and I hope everyone remembers just how special he was.

I was the Commo Guy for Battle 5-20, and earlier in S-6. I worked with SSG Williams constantly on whatever came up during our first tour with 3rd Brigade in Iraq. We were both Corporals at the time and made Sergeant around the same time. He was a really cool guy if you ever had the opportunity to meet him, and he will definitely be missed. I will continue to have him and his family in my prayers.
Rest In Peace SSG Jesse L Williams.

Jesse was a great man, he always made us laugh even when times were rough.
I will never forget the times we spent together, the good and the bad.. He only wanted to follow in his fathers footsteps and make him proud.. I know he did this, becuase he made us all proud, all the time.. We will miss you my brother and we will meet again..
