Thank You For Voting!

Voting has ended in the Military Blog Contest sponsored by the folks at the VA Mortgage Center. I was not able to view the tally before the contest closed, but early this morning we were solidly in 2nd place, and I suspect that is where we will stay when the final results are announced. (Update: Final results have us finishing 2nd.) A strong surge yesterday brought us to within single digits of 1st place, but A Soldier's Perspective responded to the challenge. Congrats to them! They have promised to donate the prize to the Camp Lejeune Ballerina's. Maybe we can be gracious 2nd-placers and visit their site to wish them well.

Now, our biggest thanks are reserved for our loyal visitors. We may not be the biggest group, but this contest confirmed my belief that we have the most loyal community out there. Thanks to everyone for your efforts to spread the word. As a result we will still be able to make a substantial contribution to Operation Second Chance.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

You put up a good fight and made me lose a lot of sleep last night. hehe. I think it speaks volumes that the majority of the top ten blogs pledged to donate their money to worthy causes instead of use it for those much needed PS3's and Boobah dolls.
