TIKRIT, Iraq -A Soldier from the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team died Thursday from small arms fire in Mosul.
The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

We have just a few weeks left to go! I prayed, please God, let them all come home safely. And now another one of our children has died. The sadness and the feeling of loss just can not be expressed in words. We, the families of the soldiers, grieve for each and every one of these fine young men who didn't make it home. We all experience the fear and the trepidation that comes over us when there is a knock on the door or when the phone rings late at night. There but by the Grace of God Go I.
Please God, bring them all home safely.
