My best friend is in SFC in 3rd Platoon C-Co. 172nd.Stryker Bridgade. I live in Chapel Hill where he lived before he moved to Fairbanks. When I talk to him (still deployed in Mosule) He tells me of the great things they are doing over there. The family of SPC Kenneth D. Hess should be proud of his accomplishments and his heart. Thank you for your service to our country. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of those who lost this soldier,
Rainey Buscher

There is no greater gift than that one will lay down his life for another. That is what this hero did when he signed up to protect our democracy and freedom. Thank you for loaning him to America. Thank you for such a wonderful son! My heart grieves for you... for so many of us know that this is our child's greates sacrifice. God Bless you!
