I'm hoping this note will clear up some of the confusion regarding the usernames and password required to access certain areas of this site. When this site was originally created, the only operational part was the page you're reading now, the news section. Over time we've added the Forum and the Photo Gallery. However, each area is run by a separate piece of software, all of which require a unique username/password combination. Provided below is a quick summary of the different areas of the site, and what you'll need to access each.
Bulletin Board: Access to the bulletin board requires registration. Follow the link above and click the "Register" link at the top of the page. You will automatically receive an email after you register containing a confirmation link. You need this email to activate your account. In order to prevent this email from being sent to your junk/bulk folder, please add admin (at) strykernews (dot) com to your "safe" list, especially if you use AOL.
Photo Gallery: You do not need an account in order to view the photos in our gallery. However, if you would like to create an album of your own you will need to send an email to photos (at) strykernews (dot) com and we will create an account for you. You cannot log in to the gallery using your bulletin board username/password.
TypeKey Comment Registration: In order to reduce the extremely annoying practice of comment spam we have enabled a comment registration feature. You must register with TypeKey in order to leave a comment. TypeKey is a free, independent, third-party identity confirmation service. If you lose your TypeKey username/password, you'll need to contact them directly - we do not have access to that information. Your TypeKey username/password does not work on the forum or the photo gallery.
