Todd, you are correct that this $10,000 donation will go to the Lancer soldier and family fund.
GI Joes made this donation in congunction with nevada benefits, more specificaly defendingfreedom.net. Phil Randazzo of Nevada Benefits and defendingfreedom.net donates defending freedom/pray for our troops wristbands and 100% of the proceeds go back to various charities and organizations that directly affect soldiers/saliors/airmen of all branches of the service. To date defendingfreedom.net has donated $200,000 with a goal of raising $1,000,000.00 all to go to help soldiers and thier families. These wristbands are sold at GI Joes in OR and WA and also may be purchased at defendingfreedom.net.Plus Phil has special wirstbands just for the deployed troops that he happily ships to Iraq that say Defending freedom. he has sent 4,600 to the soldiers of the Styrker BDE and just restocked them with another 500. I have seen photos of alot of our soldiers wearing them and alot of our Stryker families are wearing the pray for our troops version. So if any of our families would like one please go to defendingfreedom.net GI Joes, or check with your FRG leaders as Phil has also made these available to our units at a grass roots level and we have them for sale within the Brigade.
