We are very excited to announce that Cindy McGrew has formalized her mission to assist wounded service men and women through the creation of a non-profit called Operation Second Chance. She and her group of volunteers have done so much to help the wounded at Walter Reed, including many Stryker soldiers. If you have been following the stories of Michael Oreskovic, Scott Thorne and Travis Majors, then you know what Cindy has done for them and their families.
Please follow the link above to learn more about her new organization, or to offer a donation. We will be adding the site to our Links Page as well.
Comments For "Operation Second Chance":
I think this is an amazing organization started by one person's gesture to "do what they can" for our soldiers. It is filled with the American spirit. I know there are people reaching out to fallen soldier families as we have been recipients of that after losing Chase. I have a burden in my heart for the wounded soldiers who must come home and "re-organize" to continue on. God bless Cindy and God bless all of our wounded soldiers. I will be spreading the word about "Operation Second Chance" Thank you Cindy and those who have followed after you.
Laurie, Chase's mom
Thank you, Laurie, for your expressions of appreciation which I know are "fueled" by your own experiences .... God bless you and your family, and Chase .... and his wonderful courage and bravery for his fellow soldiers and us ... and his beautiful smile and spirit, which I will not forget.
