We've had quite a few new visitors to the site because of Michael's recent interview on C-SPAN. One commenter suggested re-posting the Michael Oreskovic Fund information, which we thought was a great idea. Follow the link to this previous entry to find out how you can support Michael and his family during his rehab.

Comments For "Michael Oreskovic Fund":

I watched the entire interview and am so overcome with admiration for this fine, brave, articulate, handsome, young man!!!!!! As a parent, I can just imagine how proud his parents must be!!!!! I wish that every single person could watch this. Thank-you, Michael, for opening yourself up and sharing with the rest of us.

I did not see it on TV. I watched the entire thing on my PC. For anyone else who would like to do so, this is what I did:
1. Go to www.c-span.org
2. click on C-SPAN 2
3. click on Iraq
4. click on American Perspectives, Wounded Soldiers (4/2/05)

Love and prayers for all.....

I just saw the interview, the other night with my mom, we both became overwhelmed with emotions as he touched our hearts deeply. My big brother, and my parents only son, just recently lost his life in Operation Enduring Freedom as of October 14, 2004. His name was SSG Brian Hobbs. Listening to CPL Michael Oreskovic talk, was almost as if Brian were speaking to us and what he would say if he were still here. Brian belived so much in what he was fighting for and his wisdom was beyond his years, like CPL Micheal Oreskovic. Thank you for all you have done and you will remain in our hearts and prayers always. Sincerley,

Andee Pryor, Larry & Linda Hobbs

I've caught Michael's interview a few times on c-span and everytime I've watched it I've gained even more respect and admiration for such a fine, articulate soldier. I deeply admire his bravery, and because of him I've learned a lot more about this war and what it is to be an American and to be proud of the country we live in. Thank you Michael. Your family should be very proud to have such a wonderful son, which I'm sure they are. Good Luck in everything you do.

Sincerely,
A fellow young American

Well my last post did not make it so I will write again.
I caught your (Michael's) C-Span interview while flipping channels over the weekend. I must say that I was very impressed with this young man. It was an honor to hear you speak and hear your story. It made me very proud to be an American. Listening to you made me want to go down and re-enlist again. You are an inspiration to all Americans. I hope everyone gets a chance to hear you speak. Good luck with your PT. Sorry to hear about the wisdom teeth. I know how you feel on that one, I had mine removed last month also. Keep the faith my friend and stay strong. Love to your wonderful family. I am sure my girlfriend will be loading up on the Pampered Chef as soon as I tell her about it. She had to keep telling me how cute you were. LOL. God Bless you. Hoorah.

Sir,

Please provide me with Michael's contact information. I would like to honor this fine outstanding Soldier. He is a credit to his God, his Country, and his Service. Thank you for honoring him in this manner.

God Bless the Soldier.

Russ Henry
