Wow,Wow what a great job MIchael did. You did a great job and telling like it is. I am so proud that you were in Iraq protecting me. God bless you. Your family can sure be proud of you. You may be young but you have a head on your shoulder. When I heard you talking all I can think of what a great recruiter you would make but after listening to you that is not your cup of tea. Good luck on whatever you choose to do you will make whomever proud. Thank you.
You are such an outspoken honest man. I watched you with your bravery as I teared up. I have a beautiful daughter whom I would love to meet you she is 26 works and goes to college. We live in wv in a town called Weirton , about 18 minutes from Pittsburgh, she is beautiful and she would also clobber me for this but oh well I love her and the world if full of jerks that just see her beauty not her inner beauty. When I watched you something touched me and I knew that you and Lynde had to atleast meet and be friends you both have alot of the same qualities. Thank you for your time, I can almost hear you laughing saying this mothers nuts, no just knows when to say hi and GBU.
Hang in there your doing great!
Sheila
Your interview on CSPAN inspired me to find out more about you. This led me to the Stryker Brigade website and I had to write a few words.
There are many of us who live in Northern California who support you & your fellow soldiers, the mission, our country, and freedom. (I have a sister who lives in Klamath Falls and another who works at Fort Lewis who share these views as well.)
It is inspiring to see your patriotism, motivation and enthusiam ... your generation is the future of this great country ... America will be in good hands with young people like you.
You are an exemplary American. It was with great pride that I watched you on C-Span and said out loud, "This young man is a true American." Thank you for your sacrifice and your patriotism. Our grandchildren will be thanking you in the generations to come.
I've read about Mike Oreo for some time here on Stryker Brigade News - but to see him on C-SPAN speaking so eloquently and proud of being a soldier - was humbling. My Mother was watching with me and she commented on how articulate and smart you are for such a young man. You truly make me proud to be an American and I'm honored you served our country. If you're ever in NYC or New Jersey - drop a line - the drinks are on me. I've never been so moved by someone's pride and intelligence and heart. With youth like you - America will be great long into the future. Thanks Mike.
Wow, I too was extremely moved by your interview on C-Span. It also led me to this website. I have 3 all American boys under 10 years of age. I can only hope that they grow into such valiant men as you have. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and my childrens hearts for being there and protecting us and our country. You are a true hero.
I also feel as though more people should hear your voice. You are a natural and should be in the public eye. You need to be on Oprah or something. You have the ability to really move people. I hope somehow I can experience something more of you. (Maybe you should write a book.)
Once again, thank you for your sacrifice and I believe you have much to offer.
Michael, I just watched your C-SPAN interview on my PC. I must say I sat here in awe listening to you and your words. I just wanted to say how very proud I am of you. You have a very good head on your shoulders. My son is currently in Iraq, he is in the Stryker Brigade, 1st 5th Inf. He has been there since Oct., and I can tell you that this has been the longest, most stressful 6 mo. I have ever spent. I would like to thank you for what you have done and will continue to do, you are truly an American Hero. May God bless you in everything you do, and there is NO doubt in my mind that you will accomplish any and everything that you ever set your mind to do. You are very wise beyond your years. I wish I could give you a big hug!! God bless you.

Thanks Mike. You truly deserve respect; you're a real hero. It is disgusting that NotinOurName has used the Register-Guard article! How dishonest.
