Adam was a close friend of my husband and our family. Even the kids loved him. Our little daughter would often say that "Pwum" was her best friend. And since our guys have been deployed, after "I miss my daddy" she says "I miss my fwiend Pwum." We have a wall in our house that he helped us build and we have memories of him in our hearts that we will never let go of. It is so hard to picture a world with no Plum, that I still can't believe this is real. He was a good friend and a great man and he is missed by so many of us here at home and overseas. Our hearts go out to his dear sweet family. We love and miss you Adam.

My heart is breaking for your loss. Your son was one of my son's men. He will be greatly missed by all his comrades and brothers but he is in a much safer place. He is in God's army now. I know he will be watching over his brothers. He was a very brave soldier. God Bless your family and friends.

We would like to thank everyone who has sent their love, prayers and condolences to us thru this site, the deuce four page or personal e-mail and calls. We cannot begin to imagine our lives without our own personal "Son-Shine". At this point in time, we are feeling pain that we never thought possible to bear. We will get through this because we want to world to get a good idea of the wonderful and special person our Adam was;and the type of people our soldiers are...They are not just numbers or bodies, they are the people we love very much and always want to be with us. The stryker family has been such an important part of our lives for these past couple of years and many of you we have had the honor of meeting in person. We know the pain the men in his group feel and the love they have for each other comes through loud and clear. We cannot convey to all of you how much you mean to us and how much you meant to Adam. He spoke highly of everyone and we know that there isn't anything you would not do for each other. Walter proved that when he let them all loose with a beer in one hand and a sledge hammer in the other to help him do some home "remodeling"! You are all going to forever be in our hearts, prayers and members of our family. Adam's journey home has begun and we will meet him in a couple of days. Not exactly the homecoming anyone plans...but the one we are dealing with as best we can. Thank you again for all you were to Adam in life; for all you did for him in his hour of need; for being his family far from home; and for thinking of us at what had to be the most difficult time in your lives. We are forever grateful to all of you. We will pray for your safe return home and know that Adam will always "have your six". Our hearts are 1/4 gone...but we will make sure that Adam has the honor he deserves and that no one forgets the rest of his "brothers" in country. Thank You seems so small, but it carries our hearts and Adam's which was bigger than the world itself.

Dear family of Sgt Plumondore,
I am having a hard time writing this because the tears continue to flow. Our son is a Stryker in the 1/24 as well. I know each time we hear of a death in Mosul we all pray that it is not our soldier. I am so sorry that it was your soldier this time. We all grieve with you, because they are all a part of us. May you continue to find comfort and strength in the Lord and from all of the Stryker families. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

There are no words one could say
Adam touched the lives of all who knew him GOOD OLD BOY as we call them. Your Ford on one side and your beer on the other. You will be missed dearly Adam. Your star will shine brighter now that you are looking down on all of us.

To Adam's family, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to you at the loss of your son. He is our hero and he gave his life for our country and we are humbled at his bravery. Please know that he will never be forgotten.
As you travel through this dark time, I hope that the glimmer of light that you see is but a part of the memory of the wonderful sunny days you spent with your beloved son. May those memories warm you and comfort you.
Adam will remain in my prayers, as will all of his fellow soldiers and heros.

I served with Plum in the sniper section of deuce-four, and am saddened to hear of his passing. His energy, caring spirit, and amazing sense of humor will be missed. Adam had the unique ability to cheer you up when you thought that nothing could. I personally made a stupid decision that he could have easily ridiculed me for. Instead, Plum was supportive, understanding, and forgiving. He will never be forgotten.
