We posted a press release earlier this week about the "Conquer The Corridor" event this Saturday to collect t-shirts for the Hero to Hero pledge drive. Liz Jackson posted an online invite with the hopes of getting a few SBCT soldiers to join them. Details below:

STRYKERS... IF YOU RECEIVED A SHIRT FROM "HERO TO HERO" (2/3 Inf), OR IF YOU, OR YOUR LOVED ONE HAS BEEN ADOPTED ALREADY AND WILL BE GETTING A SHIRT (25 BSB, 73RD ENG, 42ND MP BDE, 54th (Air Ambulance) Medevac Unit, etc) ... FROM HERO TO HERO '05, WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT THIS SATURDAY!!!

WE ARE INVITING YOU TO JOIN US FOR THE ONE DAY TRIP NORTH OR SOUTH TO "CONQUER THE CORRIDOR" AS WE VISIT POLICE AND FIRE DEPTS GETTING THE SHIRTS OFF THEIR BACKS, along I-5 (& 167, 405)...

Also, any members of Jake Herring's unit who are going up to see his mom... we designed part of the route north so that you could convoy up with us and then stay with Susan and his brothers for your event.

What a great way to show your comraderie and respect. This effort was inspired when we lost Jake... we would LOVE to have you join us!

2/3 Infantry who received shirts... and any who signed the banner for the Local 1372, Auburn Fire Dept... please join us at least for the first stop... Auburn, your banner is proudly hung in this station. Come shake the hands of the Firefighters who supported you so well. Get your picture with the banner and hey, if you got a shirt, why not bring a couple of those stylish brown tees you wore in the desert... sign them with your message of thanks!
