MOSUL, IRAQ (November 16, 2004) – Iraqi Security Forces and Multinational forces from the 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) continued offensive operations in Mosul today.
These operations are targeting isolated pockets of insurgent fighters that continue to operate in the city.
Ninevah Provincial governor, Duraid Kashmoula, announced that all bridges in the city are closed to civilian vehicle and pedestrian traffic. A curfew is in place from 4 p.m. to 6 a.m. until further notice.
