I had the pleasure of meeting Sandra, the mother of DJ tonight and she said her son is doing well recovering from his injuries. DJ was the platoon leader for C co., 1st Plt., 1-5 Inf., 1-25th. SBCT and was injured on 6 November. Sandra was at Walter Reed about an hour after DJ arrived and even though his injuries are pretty extensive, she said he looked good and is doing well considering. I will post more on his progress after she talks with her son and received his permission.
Our prayers are with them and I am sure I will be able to pass along a lot of usefull information that the family will need during their stay here. Take care and God bless.
