Stryker troops from Fort Lewis are taking part in the offensive at Fallujah, according to media reports, but military officials declined Monday to provide details.
The Associated Press and the Times of London said troops from the 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division had been sent to help seal off the insurgent stronghold.
The brigade is based in Mosul, about 230 miles north of Fallujah.
An Army spokeswoman in Mosul declined to comment Monday, and the news accounts provided no further information.
