Business Center Opens (8 min.)
The Ninevah Business Center is a new place for residents in the northern region of Iraq that encourages large and small businesses to open throughout the area. Civil Affairs soldiers tour the center, which offers loan and educational programs. It's also a meeting place for local contractors and civilians to develop working relationships and build the economy in Ninevah Province. Video from 139th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment.
Jeep and Goggle Giveaway b-roll (5 min.)
Multinational forces donated 25 pairs of night vision goggles and 10 Jeep Libertys to Iraqi Border Patrol. Goggles are unpacked, inspected, inventoried and taken to the vehicles. New Jeeps get some maintenance, then are driven a station. The equipment will enable the Iraqi Border Patrol to protect the border more effectively - conducting night patrols and covering more area of the border region. Interview between Staff Sergeant Shane Peterson (from Port Angeles, WA) in Mosul and KPHO in Seattle. Says he enjoys being in Iraq, but looks forward to seeing family and rainy weather back home. Has learned to deal with the heat. His work involves clearing roads of improvised explosive devices. He says children who wave makes him feel good about what he's doing, and that morale is high.

Interview between Sergeant Mackey in Mosul and KPHO in Phoenix, AZ. She says she believes they have the support of Iraqis and that things are getting better, but everyone needs to have patience. They talk about hot weather, rotation schedules, and keeping morale up. She says the compound where she lives and works is as safe as it can be.
Interview with SGT Ilimaleota (4 min.)
Interview between Sergeant Ilimaleota in Mosul and KPHO in KPHO in Phoenix, AZ. She says stress levels are different for troops doing different jobs, but most people are concerned about getting home. She says Iraqis are generally friendly and happy Americans are there, and the situation isn't as bad as it seems on TV.

Interview between Major Garcia (intelligence officer from Phoenix, AZ) in Mosul and KPHO in Phoenix. Talks about reasons for joining the military. Points out how Iraqi wealth used to go into palaces while most of the country was deprived. Says Mosul weather not that different from Phoenix. Describes the importance of intelligence work (finding out what the bad guys are doing). Talks about training Iraqis to defend their own country, and that those forces are getting stronger. Fighting war on terror is important, but it's tough on family members.

Interview between Sergeant McBride in Mosul and KFDM in Beaumont, TX. Says he feels he's making a difference and is needed over there. The people he talks with are happy he's there, and seem to like what America represents. Talks about the duty to protect and serve, feeling very safe and well prepared, and drinking lots of water. He mentions agencies in place to support soldiers. SGT McBride works on a quick reactionary force that ensure stability. He misses family and food the most, and plans to get married when he comes home.
