Thanks to volunteers from the state Department of Fish and Wildlife, the 51 middle-school-aged children taking part in the National Guard youth program got a short lesson in casting and then were turned loose. [...]
The children have been staying in barracks at Camp Murray, attending demonstrations and activities each day. On Tuesday, the group was at Naval Submarine Base Bangor. On Friday, they are going to visit with members of the Stryker Brigade at Fort Lewis.
