Kim wanted to let Ft. Lewis families know about a summer reading program for kids of all ages at the Book Patch Library on base. Provided below are the details from the program flyer. This sounds like fun for the kids and might give some of you a little "alone time".

Be inquisitive at the library! Registration for summer reading club, “Explore New Frontiers-Read”, begins 14 June and continues until 29 July. So come to the library during the hours of operation and sign up for the Read to Me club for pre-readers, or the Reading Club for readers.
The children are given a reading log when they are signed up for the program to record minutes read.
Pre-reader must read (200) minutes & Readers must read (400) minutes by 8 July to be invited to an ice cream party to be held on the lawn of Grandstaff Library from 2:00 – 3:00.

Every child in both clubs who completes their log by 29 July will be invited to a magic show to be held on Thursday 5 August at the Family Resource Center at 10:00.

STORY TIME
Come join us for some fabulous storytelling! Stories will be read aloud every Tuesday from 10:30-11:00, starting 22 June and continuing until 27 July. Registration is not necessary. Please drop in during this time to hear volunteers read stories.
SCAVENGER HUNT
Children ages 5 and above can enjoy Scavenger hunts in and around library grounds.
Hunts will be 23 June, 30 June, 14 July, 21 July and 28 July from 2:00 –3:00 pm.
Come explore cool stuff at the library. Registration is not required.
