MOSUL, Iraq – Soldiers from 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, a Stryker Brigade Combat Team, detained 27 personnel suspected of anti-Coalition activities, including five suspected of planning attacks against Coalition forces, in a series of missions in northern Iraq April 5 and 6.
Soldiers from 1st Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, detained 14 anti-Coalition suspects near Ayn Zalah. In a series of raids north of Tall Afar, the squadron detained an additional eight anti-Coalition suspects. Three anti-Coalition suspects were also detained in raids in the city of Tall Afar.
In Qarrayah, Soldiers from 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment and 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment detained two personnel suspected of firing rockets at the forward operating base.
