The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Philip G. Rogers, 23, of Gresham, Ore., died April 4, in Mosul, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device hit his military vehicle. Rogers was assigned to the Armys 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Wash.
We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and fellow soldiers he leaves behind.
