Well, we're going to remove the links to the brigade newsletters until we get a more definitive answer on "official" policy. The guidance we received is different from what others have heard. Our suggestion to all of you that depend on websites (ours included) to view the newsletter is to contact the FRG for your soldier's unit in order to be placed on the distribution list.
Maybe it would help if readers could send contact information for the FRG resources they use. Personally I count on Stryker News for all of my information because I've not been able to link up with anyone from the 1-14 Cav FRG. The 1-14 website has no useful information on FRG at all.
Unfortunately, the fort lewis websites are run by a number of different entities and they have no functional specifications or standardizations policies. Some areas are full of contact information and others have non or are outdated. Personally, I would have liked to see the family focus page to have explained the reason for the removal of the newsletters. Originally, they stated a temp removal and sorry for the inconvenience. Nothing official was stated after that. Hopefully, with time, the proper information will be made available to the public and contact information will be updated. Take care and God bless our troops and those that love them.
Try contacting either your soldier or you can check the 3rd Brigade web pages or the Ft. Lewis home page. You will have to look around on these sites, as I didn't get the exact area you need. But they should be helpful to you.

Unfortunately I don't have any contact with the FRGs. There are many helpful people on the bulletin board that do and would be more than willing to help you out I'm sure. Good luck.
Phil,
I probably missed this somewhere...what unit's FRG are you looking for? I have the information for FMC 296 (SBCT) if anyone would like it, or I'd be happy to contact them to see if they can provide contact information for others. They have been extremely helpful to me. Also, contacting the Rear Detachment might prove helpful if you can't find the info elsewhere.
What you need to do is talk to your soldier. He (or she) will have the FRG contact information - if they don't have it handy, their chain of command does.
Ask him/her to get you the email of the unit FRG leader, and email that person when you get it, asking to be put on the list. If your name doesn't match the last name of a soldier, you might have to explain who you are to the FRG leader - who you're connected to. But that should really be all it takes to get in contact and get on the email distribution list.
Comments For "Newsletters":
Hello Todd,
How do you get in contact the FRG?
Thanks again for your hard work!
