MOSUL, Iraq - Senior officers from the Stryker brigade and the Fort Lewis-based I Corps staff that will soon run U.S. military efforts in northern Iraq met the Mosul press on Thursday.
But the pending rotation of new troops replacing the 101st Airborne Division apparently is not yet an item of concern for the city's fledgling free media.
Instead, reporters pressed the Nineveh Province vice governor, Khessru Goran, with questions about problems in the distribution of fertilizer and pesticide to the region's farmers and pay for auxiliary police officers.
There's also more about the roadside bomb, the activities of the 1-14 CAV and a funny segment about the rainy weather.
