Welcome from FOB FULDA in Northwestern Iraq. We would like to thank all the families in the HHT FRG for their continued support and prayers.

FOB FULDA is located approximately 3 miles South of the town of Tall ‘Afar. As with Pacesetter, Fulda is an Iraqi military airfield that has been occupied by US forces. The Squadron is replacing a Brigade from the 101st Airborne Division. The Squadron will build upon the success that the 101st has had in developing good relations with the Iraqi Officials in this area in a hope to turn all operations over to a functioning government that will take care of it’s people, heritage and protect their freedom. As always, HHT will continue its mission of providing Command, Control and Support to the Warhorse Squadron.
The weather here is cooler than down south, it dips down below 30’ F at night and may warm up to 55-60’ F during the day. It is rainy and gray, almost reminds us of Ft. Lewis. We no longer sleep in tents, but have moved up to the sleeping containers as briefed in Squadron FRG meetings. They definitely beat out the tents! Meals are provided through a contract in a large new Dining facility, the Field Feeding Team continues its support of the troops that conduct operations outside of the FOB. The soldiers of HHT and the Squadron have performed their duties extremely well. LTC Carman as well as COL Rounds are very pleased with their accomplishments. We continue to meet or exceed all the missions placed before us.
Thank you again for your support and strength. We appreciate all that you do for us at home and for all your thoughts and prayers. We would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.
